MEMBERS LOG-IN

The National Entertainment Agents Council is the best trade organisation for the professional Agent whether he/she is full time or part-time. Bookers and Artistes alike benefit from the fact that all members as a condition of membership are obliged to adhere to the strictest Code of Conduct within the industry to ensure that they maintain the highest principles of ethical business practice.

Since Employment Agencies no longer have to be licensed it is in the interest of both Artist and Booker to know that the agency belongs to an organisation which enforces a Code of Conduct on its members which insists that all other aspects of the Employment Agencies Act 1973 (as amended) are complied with and that any monies accepted on behalf of the Artiste(s) or Client(s) are placed into a "protected" bank account.

There are many other benefits associated with using an Agent who is a member of the National Entertainment Agents Council.  Just a few of these benefits are reproduced below.

Benefits to Bookers

What a Booker wants to know is that the right act is booked for the right venue at a value for money price.

We understand that! But when you are dealing with reputable bone fide agents you can be more confident that all your entertainment will go according to plan.

Why then should a Booker prefer to use an agent who is a member of the NATIONAL ENTERTAINMENT AGENTS COUNCIL ?

The highest standards of Professionalism and Quality of Service.
Access to an extensive range of reliable acts both nationally and internationally.
All members as a condition of membership are bound by a nationally recognised Code of Conduct.
Book all Artistes or Acts with confidence.
The Highest ethical standards are observed.
Reduce the time you spend on contacting artistes and your administration costs.
You will always have written confirmation of the names of artistes booked and the conditions of booking.
Advice and consultancy on how to improve the scope & appeal of your venue.
A personal and reliable relationship with the Agent.
You have the right to refer any related enquiries from Official Government Bodies to the Agent.
In the unlikely event of a complaint against a member agent you can complain to the Executive of the National Entertainment Agents Council and the Department of Employment
The N.E.A.C. logo is a sign of integrity.

Benefits to Artistes

As an Artiste you don't really mind who brings you the work.

We understand that too! But when you are dealing with reputable bone fide agents you are likely to be charged a similar rate of commission with any exceptions clearly stated.

Why then should an Artiste prefer to use an agent who is a member of the NATIONAL ENTERTAINMENT AGENTS COUNCIL ?

She/he will seek and get the best fee possible. It is in your interest and the agents. (Without an Agent your services are likely to be sought at the lowest fee which you can be persuaded to accept).
She/he will ensure the best available terms and conditions for the work.
She/he will correctly record in writing the contract arranged and agreed.
Copies of such agreements will be sent to both Booker & Artiste.
Your fee for the work will be clearly shown, so too will the payment timescale.
Your commission liability will be clearly shown as a percentage of the fee or as an amount for the contracted times.
All reasonable efforts will be made by your agent to ensure prompt payment.
Increased work opportunities through the nationwide network of N.E.A.C. agents.
Your Agent will be pleased to help you and give you sound advice.
In the unlikely event of any of these matters going wrong you have someone to complain to - The National Executive of the National Entertainment Agents Council - and you should contact the National Office.  Information on complaining is available on the Disciplinary page.
