Who can Apply?

Membership of the N.E.A.C. is open to all Entertainment Agents in the U.K.  who are willing and able to meet the ethical standards required, and to adhere to the Rules, the Code of Conduct, and the Disciplinary Procedure.

How do you Apply?

Applicants are required to complete a detailed application form for the Agency, and one additional form for each member of the Management Team.  Each will need to provide three personal references (please ensure that you have asked each Referee for permission to use their name and address), and these are always taken up in writing.

Applicants can View an Application Form in PDF format and print it out on their own computer. (Note that you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view and print the form.  If you do not have this program, Click Here to get it for free.)  If you would prefer to download the form and   view it in your own time, right click this link and select 'Save Target As..' from the menu that pops up.

Applicants can also have the forms sent to them by post. Click Here to order an Application online.

What happens once I have applied?

Receipt of the application is confirmed in writing, and Reference Requests are sent to the named referees along with reply paid envelopes so that they incur no costs for providing the reference.  Applicants details are published in the next N.E.A.C. Magazine and in the Members Only area of this site in order that the Members have advance notice of applications and can make any necessary representations concerning them.  Membership is normally granted on the 15th day after publication, and a full Membership Pack is sent shortly afterwards.

Can Applicants be refused Membership?

Apart from failed references there are only five reasons why Membership would be refused to an applicant. Click Here to review those reasons.

The National Entertainment Agents Council does not discriminate on any grounds whatsoever, including (but not limited to) Sex, Disability, Race, Religion, Ethnic Background, Age, Height, Weight, Business Location, Experience, Qualifications or Looks.

How much does it cost?

The subscription year runs from January 1st to December 31st in each year, and the amount to be paid varies according to when you join.

The figures shown above are the full amount due. They are calculated as follows:

Membership Fee 2005/6 is £180.00. The Joining Fee is £25.00, plus the months to the year 2006 end at £15.00 per month. Where the length of time to the year end exceeds six months, Provisional Members may pay by two cheques, the second dated July 1st. There is a £5 per cheque premium for this service. Dishonored Cheques can result in Court Action and additional charges. If in doubt, please call 0870 755 7612 for advice.

Can I pay by Credit Card?

No.  There are not enough transactions to make offering this type of service cost effective.  We would have to charge a far greater subscription to make this viable, and we feel that doing so would deter potential Members.

Can I pay in Instalments?

New Members can pay by two cheques as outlined above.  Current Members can pay for their 2005 subscriptions by Bankers Order (also known as Standing Order) in a range of instalment methods. However, these additional payment methods will be discontinued from the 2006 subscription year.

Scheme

Annual 1 £180.00 £180.00
Bi-Annual 2 £95.00 £190.00
Quarterly 4 £52.50 £210
Monthly 12 £18.50 £222.00

Are there any discounts available?

Existing Members are often offered a discount for prompt payment of subscriptions.   Assuming formal approval at the next National Executive Meeting, it is anticipated that Members who pay their 2006 subscription by October 31st 2005 will be able to claim a discount of 10% (£18).
